The International Federation of Air Line Pilots' Association (IFALPA) will host the 72nd IFALPA conference on May 5-8, 2017 at Hotel Bonaventure Montreal.
The mission of IFALPA is to promote the highest level of aviation safety worldwide and to be the global advocate of the piloting profession; providing representation, services and support to the aviation industry.
Virtually every part of the Operating Specifications of ICAO has been influenced to some degree by IFALPA pilot representatives. The contribution may be as obvious as drafting entire sections of an Annex which is subsequently adopted, or as subtle as prevailing in an argument for or against a proposal in one of the many ICAO Technical Panels. IFALPA has been granted permanent observer status to the ICAO Air Navigation Commission (ANC).
