About the Event:
The WiMAX Forum is pleased to announce the third annual AeroMACS 2018 – Madrid. The AeroMACS sessions will take place on Wednesday, 7 March from 14:00 to 18:00 at the World ATM Congress Aireon Spotlight Stage at IFEMA, located at Recinto Ferial Juan Carlos I, Parque Juan Carlos I, s/n, 28042 Madrid, Spain.
Aeronautical Mobile Airport Communication System (AeroMACS) operates in the protected 5091-5150 MHz spectrum band for airport applications allocated by the ITU. It creates a new airport surface data communication system that is robust, efficient, secure, safe, and flexible. These capabilities enable significant improvements in safety and efficiency envisaged by programs such as NextGen in the United States and the Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) initiative.
AeroMACS 2018 - Madrid will focus on supporting the global Aviation Community in managing profitable developments and growth of their AeroMACS networks. This year’s presentation will evolve towards the latest milestones, security announcements, new standards development, worldwide tests and other successful implementations. It will highlight the opportunities, challenges, and strategies involved in operating efficient AeroMACS networks. Our goal is for attending participants to gain concrete knowledge that will help them build best-in-class AeroMACS networks and fully utilize them.
