About:

A trend has emerged for the 3.65 GHz band due to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) Report and Order that permits the commercial use of 150 MHz of spectrum in the 3550-3700 MHz band to wireless broadband service providers, industrial users, and other federal/non-federal users.

This significant operational change for the 3.65 GHz wireless broadband community, critical infrastructure players, and specifically WiMAX deployments demands solid guidelines, policies, and industry support to have adequate protection. The WiMAX Forum Smart Energy Working Group (SEWG) and its members have been closely monitoring this activity with constant interactions with the rule makers and ecosystem players to promote the continuous and effective use of the 3.65 GHz band.

The WiMAX Forum and SEWG Leadership will host a free live webinar on February 21, 2018 at 10:00AM PDT which is open to all WiMAX Forum member companies and approved participants seeking more details. The speakers will address key questions about the spectrum, technology, CBRS changes and how to leverage the use of 3.65 GHz spectrum under the CBRS constrains.

To pre-register for the webinar, please visit Webinar: Promoting the Use of 3.65 GHz Spectrum Under the CBRS Rules .

Only member companies have access to the related documents posted by SEWG in the member’s portal and are entitled to benefit from the Forum’s centric role in shaping the 3.65 GHz band’s future. Join the WiMAX Forum today!
