Dr. P.S. Tang

Regional Director

PS Tang has more than 30 years experience in the global technology business with substantial experience in corporate, technology and operational management, business strategy, corporate governance, corporate development, merger & acquisition, investor relation and fund raising through IPO and private equity.

A founding Director of P1 Group, a successful 4G TDD Wireless Network Operator group in Malaysia that has approximately 500,000 paying subscribers as at end 2012. Was instrumental in building up the initial team to develop the business strategy and business plan to bid for the 4G spectrum and license in 2006. He was also instrumental in initiating the investment activities into P1 Malaysia and had assisted P1 Malaysia in raising ~US$120m of external investment for its commercial deployment. After building up the P1 Malaysia operating team, he focus his effort in building up regional partnership and was involved in strategic business planning and bidding for 4G Operating Licenses and Spectrum in Singapore, Chile, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Vietnam. Had built up a team of advisors and consultants to assist TDD spectrum and license holders to plan and deploy commercial 4G Wireless Data Network.

Currently a Regional Director of WiMAX Forum and a member of the Steering Committee of the GTI.

He has a first class BSc degree in Computer Engineering and a MSc in Computer Science, both from the University of Manchester, UK and a PhD in Information Engineering from the City University of London.
