Dr. Hanatani is Principal Analyst, TAK Analytics Research Co., Ltd and Board Secretary of the WiMAX Forum. He joined Avicom in 2017. He started at Central Research Laboratories, Hitachi Ltd., in 1982, to be involved in R&D on high-speed optical communications, and has a lot of contributions to international academic and technical conferences, OFC, AOE, FOE and ACP, as a program committee member as well as an invited speaker. He founded FTTH Council Asia-Pacific in 2005, served as the founding President until 2009 and has been supporting the Council through education and market intelligence. He joined WiMAX Forum as a Board Director in 2012 and has been contributing to AeroMACS standardization as well as international market promotion.
