CTO & VP R&D, Telrad Networks

An experienced Telecom engineer with 30 years of work within the Telecom market for both operators and vendors as well as supplying consulting services to high level management and BoDs of Telecommunications companies.

The experience in operators includes working in high Engineering positions of MNOs, in early stages of forming the company and its engineering divisions - establishing the first MVNO in Israel, working for a long-distance operator and working for other MVNOs, including as the CEO of an MVNO in Israel.

The experience in vendors includes 3 years working for a SW NMS system supplier as the Marketing Technical leader and 6 years for Nokia Networks as Business Development Director, responsible for introducing new technologies to existing customers and for very large scale bids for new customers at the time of first introduction of the 3G technology from Nokia.

In the last year+ working as the CTO & VP R&D for Telrad, BWA, responsible for the technology vision of the company and leading it to the 5G technology as well as managing the R&D group of over 50 SW engineers with skills in the HW design and production, RF & Antenna performance, DSP and FPGA SW engineers, 3GPP Protocol experts and Algorithms SW engineers, infrastructure and system professionals, Network Management developers, Core and networking experts and project managements as well as the company QA. Developing and maintaining the products for different technologies – WiMax, AeroMacs, LTE and the path to 5G, as well as managing the development work of the company's CPE and SoC for CPE with 3rd party providers. 

Having accomplished 2 major SW releases that introduced the new line of products in the unlicensed spectrum, DL Mu-Mimo based on digital beam forming, 256QAM DL and completed the development of DFS, LAA like solution (CA between licensed and unlicensed spectrums) and CBRS SAS and CBSD (CPE) compliance.
