The WiMAX Forum is delighted to announce that the June 2010 WiMAX Forum Member Conference has been scheduled for June 21-25 in Tallinn, Estonia. Tallinn is a beautiful and historical capital city on the Gulf of Finland, 80 km from Helsinki. While Tallinn Old Town is UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, much of the city is modern. You will have plenty of opportunity to see the sights, since the days will be over 18.5 hours long that week!
For the meeting venue, we have secured the elegant and modern Meriton Grand Conference & Spa Hotel in the heart of the capital, close to Old Town and the Parliament but with easy access to the main shopping areas, theatres, and smoke-free restaurants. We have negotiated an outstanding room rate, which will include breakfast as well as spa access and Wi-Fi Internet. The hotel is a 5 km drive from Tallinn Airport (TLL), which was expanded in 2008 and has direct connections to many European travel hubs.
Estonia, which joined the European Union in 2004, is in the Schengen Area, which will make international travel easy for many of the participants. We are confident that Tallinn will be a memorable venue for a productive WiMAX Forum Member Conference.
